Hallam, Robert A. (Robert Alexander), 1807-1877
Robert Alexander Hallam (1807-1877) was born and died in New London, Conn. He graduated from Yale in 1827 and from the General Theological Seminary in New York in 1832. He was Rector of St. Andrew's Church, Meriden, Conn., for two years, and Rector of St. James's Church, New London, Conn., from 1835 to 1877. In 1853, he received the degree of S.T.D. from Trinity College. His works include: Lectures on the Morning Prayer (Philadelphia: H. Hooker, 1856); Annals of St James' Church, New London (Hartford: M.H. Mallory & Co., 1873); and The Church and the Times (Hartford, 1858); and many other published sermons.
