Hutson, Ethel.
Ethel Hutson (1872-1951) was a New Orleans journalist, author, landscape illustrator, and women's rights activist. Her interests were wide-ranging and included education, literature, art, politics, public utilities, child welfare, architectural preservation, public finance and transportation. Ethel Hutson's letters include local and national correspondence with suffragettes in her role as New Orleans Item staff member, as well as press agent for the Woman's Suffrage Party of Louisiana. She was also active in the Era Club, and League of Women Voters of New Orleans.
