Garrett, Francis L. (Francis Leonard), 1919-1992
Francis Leonard Garrett was born April 7, 1919, in Greenville, South Carolina. He joined the U.S. Navy Chaplain Corps in 1944, and served as Fleet Chaplain of the Atlantic Fleet from 1969 to 1970, the receive his appointment as Chief of Chaplains in Washington in 1970.
