Taylor family, of Hunterdon County, N.J.
Taylor family: Residents of High Bridge, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, including Robert Taylor, his son Archibald S. Taylor (1780-1860) and the latter's son Lewis H. Taylor (b. 1811), as well as John W. Bray (Archibald S. Taylor's brother-in-law).
Andover Furnace and Andover Forge: located seven miles apart at, respectively, Andover and (present-day) Waterloo, both in Sussex County, New Jersey; owned by Allen ? managed by John Hackett until his death in 1766 and then by Robert Taylor; ceased operations ca. 1780; reopened and operated by A[rchibald?] S[tewart?] & Co. from ca. 1782 until ca. 178x. Note: the furnace and forge together were known at one time as Andover Iron Works.
