Confederate States of America. Army. Georgia Regular Infantry Regiment, 1st
Two regiments were created by Georgia in 1861 as part of the state's army; they were consolidated into a single regiment, called the 1st Georgia Regulars, which then became part of the Confederate army; a.k.a., Regulars.
