Gault, Marian Lee, 1924-1996.
Marian Lee Gault was born in Kansas City, Kan., on July 18, 1924, the daughter of Orville Byron and Helen Stratton Gault. She attended Gulf Park College, Gulfport, Miss.; Kansas City Junior College; and the University of Arizona, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1945. In 1948, she received a diploma from the Parsons School of Design in New York City. She opened Marian Gault Interiors in Kansas City, Mo., in 1949. In addition to interior design, Ms. Gault was a genealogist, an heraldic artist, and a renowned amateur golfer. She died Nov. 8, 1996 in Shawnee Mission, Kan.
