Haile, Robert Gaines, 1832-1862
Robert Gaines Haile was born 1 April 1832 and "Beavers Hill," Essex County, Va., the sone of Robert Gaines Haile, Sr. and Elizabeth Buckner Haile. He married Mary Susan Burke. Haile served in Co. F, 55th Virginia Regiment, Confederate Army. He was mortally wounded at Gaines Mill 30 June 1862.
