Nelson, George F. (George Francis), 1842-1932
George F. Nelson, chaplain, accompanied Edward H. Harriman to Alaska by steamship in the summer of 1899 on a pleasure and scientific cruise. Also accompanying them were fourteen relatives, twenty-five scientists (including John Muir), two photographers (including Edward S. Curtis), three artists, cooks, physicians, taxidermists, and others.
