Detroit (Mich.). Police Dept.
Wilson, an independent Detroit area PR counsel, provided publicity for D.P.D. since 1969. He was honored for his role in developing better working relations between police and news media representatives in the local area. Wilson was awarded the 1971 Public Relations Society of America Detroit Chapter citation plaque for his entry, "Detroit Police and the News Media". It won on the basis of its great social significance to the community.
