Truesdell, Karl, 1882-1955

Kark Truesdell (b. Aug. 27, 1882, Moorhead, Minn.-d. July 16, 1955), U.S. Army officer, received his commission as 2nd lieutenant in 1904, and advanced to the rank of major general in 1940. He served with the Allied Expeditionary Forces during World War I and later was commanding general of the 12th Brigade in 1938 and 1939. He was commandant of the Command and General Staff School at Ft. Leavenworth from 1943 to 1945. He retired from Army service in 1946.
