Jackson, Elmore, 1910-1989.

Elmore Jackson was a birthright member of the Society of Friends who was interested in introducing and using Quaker principles in international relations. He worked for the American Friends Service Committee, the Quaker Program at the United Nations, the U.S. Department of State, the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA), the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Aspen Institure. He was involved in mediation efforts in the Kashmir dispute between India and Packistan (1952-53) and between Egypt and Israel in 1955.
