Barbey, Daniel E. (Daniel Edward), 1889-1969
Daniel Edward Barbey was born December 23, 1889, in Portland, Oregon. He was commander of the VII Amphibious Force, Seventh Fleet, from January 1943 to November 1945. He advanced to the rank of vice admiral in June 1944, and retired in June 1951. He died on April 11, 1969.
