Sharpe, Henry G. (Henry Granville), 1858-1947
Sharpe graduated from U.S. Military Academy as Captain in 1880; was with Army Commissary & Subsistence (1883); promoted to Major (1895), Lt. Colonel (1898). With Army of Occupation in Porto Rico (1898-99); promoted to Colonel (1901); Brigadier General (1905-13); Major General, Quartermaster Corps (1916); member of War Council (1917). In France with A.E.F. (June-Sept. 1919); Quartermaster General during World War I. Wrote many treatises on army procurement, supply, provisioning and rations.
