Marshall, Francis Cutler, 1867-1922
Francis Cutler Marshall (b. March 26, 1867, Galena, Ill.-d. Dec. 7, 1922), U.S. Army officer, graduated from West Point in 1890. During World War I, he served as commander, 165th Field Artillery Brigade, 90th Division, and with the 2nd Brigade, 1st Division and 8th Brigade, 4th Division. He also served during the occupation of Germany with the 3rd American Army until July of 1919. He died in a plane crash near San Diego, California, on December 7, 1922.
