Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. Gloucester and Salem Quarterly Meeting
A quarterly meeting for Gloucester and Salem was established in 1682 at a general meeting held in Salem. In 1794, Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting was created out of division of this quarterly meeting. The resulting meeting was then known as Salem Quarterly Meeting. In 1904, Salem Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox) was absorbed into Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting, forming Haddonfield and Salem Quarterly Meeting. When Haddonfield Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) merged with Haddonfield and Salem Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox), in 1954, the formerly Orthodox meetings at Salem and Greenwich were then returned to Salem Quarterly Meeting.
