Hill, E. Howard, 1908-

President, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, 1947-1963. In 1941 Hill was one of a commission of five sent to South America to study agricultural conditions and returned to Chile in 1962 as a member of a mission on agricultural reforms. Hill became vice president of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation in 1943 and president in 1947. He has served on the board of directors of the American Farm Bureau Federation and F.S. Services, Inc. and was agricultural representative in the Iowa Development Commission and the Iowa Civil Defense Committee. He has been a member of the National Livestock Meat Board, the board of trustees of the Iowa 4-H Club Foundation, and on the board of trustees for the Iowa Methodist Hospital (Des Mo ines, Iowa). Hill has also served in the American Good Government Society, on the Iowa Committee on Resettlement of Displaced Persons, on the Humane Slaughter Committee and with the Iowa Institute of Cooperation.
