Persico, Enrico, 1900-1969
Persico (1900-1969) was in the 1930s the most influential teacher contributing to the field of quantum mechanics in Italy and to the spread of these theories throughout the country. From 1947 to 1950 he was director of the Physics Institute at the Universitè Laval, Quebec, Canada. From 1950 he was professor at the Physicis Institute in Rome (Istituto di Fisica "G. Marconi") and took an active part in the major institutions of Italian physics including the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN), Società Italiana di Fisica (SIF) and Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati dell' INFN.
