Manly family.
Members of the Manly family of Wake County, N.C., and other locations included Charles Manly, governor of North Carolina, 1849-1851; his son, Basil Charles Manly, a lawyer who served as mayor of Raleigh, N.C.; and son-in-law George Badger Singeltary, lawyer of Greenville, N.C.
