Dykeman, P. B. (Peter B.)
Dykeman was an oil and business man and founding figure of Riverton, Wyoming. Originally from New York, he came to the Lander area ca. 1905 and eventually settled in Riverton. During the 1920s he entered into real estate and mining, and acquired extensive interests in the Bison Basin and Sheldon Dome oil fields. He was president of the Beaver Divide Oil Company which developed the Bison Basin. Dykeman and the Beaver Divide Oil Company had associations with the Standard Carbon Company, the Ohio Oil Company, and the Kerlyn Oil Company which developed Sheldon Dome.
