Pere Marquette Railroad
The company was incorporated in Michigan on November 1, 1899. Reorganized as Pere Marquette Railway Company in April 1917.
December 6, 1899 purchased Flint and Pere Marquette Railroad Company. December 7, 1899 purchased Detroit, Grand Rapids & Western Railroad Company. October 1, 1900 purchased Muskegon Lake Railroad Company. May 6, 1900 purchased Bay City Belt Line Railroad Company, Grand Rapids, Belding & Saginaw Railroad Company, Saginaw, Tuscola and Huron Railroad Company, Sanilac Railroad Company, Milwakee, Benton Harbor and Columbus Railway Company, and South Haven and Eastern Railroad Company. May 7, 1900 purchased The Benton Harbor, Coloma and Paw Paw Lake Train Railroad Company. December 21, 1900 purchased Harbor Beach and Port Hope Railroad Company. August 12, 1900 consolidatation with Pere Marquette Railroad Company of Indiana.
