Missionary; born Jennie Eliza Kingston, 1903; graduated from Moody Bible Institute, 1925; served as missionary in China with China Inland Mission, 1926-1945; evacuated to Shanghai due to political unrest, 1927; worked among the Lisu and the Atsi Kachin tribes; was reassigned to work in Chefoo School due to intensified Japanese activity; placed under house arrest by Japanese (1941) and transferred to Weihsein internment camp (1943); repatriated to the U.S., 1943; worked at Wheaton College, 1945-1952, 1957-1969; served as Dean of Women at Philadelphia Bible Institute, 1952-19569; married Francis Julius Fitzwilliam (1927) who died in 1940; had one son, Francis John.
