Daly, M. B. (Malachy Bowes), Sir, 1836-1920
The Honourable Sir Malachy Bowes Daly was born 6 February 1836 in Marchmount, Quebec, to Sir Dominick Daly and Caroline Maria Gore. He attended school in Montreal, St. Mary's College in Oscott (England), and obtained a B.A. from St. Mary's College in Halifax. In July of 1859 he married Joanna Kenny with whom he had one daughter, Mary.
