Hounsell, Samuel David.

Samuel David Hounsell was born May 19, 1868; died December 16, 1936. He was assistant lighthouse keeper at Oakland harbor, Jan. 10, 1895, 2nd Assistant Keeper at Humboldt [Bay?], and became keeper at Southampton Shoal, Pt. Richmond, June 26, 1906. He resigned Feb. 28, 1910. He was with the revenue cutter Bear prior to his lighthouse service.
