Charleston, South Carolina resident and clerk for Douglas Nisbet, commercial merchant and agent of the Anchor Line Ocean Steamships. Benjamin George Heriot married Christiana Caroline Woodruff in 1841. Heriot's brother was Edwin Heriot.
