Medical Women's Federation (Liverpool Branch)
The Liverpool Branch (sometimes refered to as 'the Liverpool & District Association') of the Medical Women's Federation was originally established in March 1909, as the Liverpool Association of Registered Medical Women. In the summer of 1909 it combined with the Manchester Association of Medical Women, to form the Northern Association of Medical Women. This body in turn combined with other regional organisations, in 1917, to form the Medical Women's Federation. In Liverpool a local 'Junior' or 'Associate' branch for female medical students was established in 1921.
