Steiman, Lionel B. (Lionel Bradley), 1941-
S. Fischer Verlag was the German publisher of Werfel's works, dating back to Werfel's agreement with Gottfried Bermann Fischer at the beginning of Werfel's exile, in 1938. Mertz was an editor and manager at S. Fischer Verlag; and Perlmutter was the company's U.S. representative. Wilfred Laurier University Press, based in Waterloo, Ontario, was the publisher of Steiman's book on Werfel; Woolfrey was the director of the company.
