Wisconsin. Job Service Division
In mid-1975, the Employment Security Division (see WIHV85-A998) of the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations (see WIHV85-A482) was renamed the Job Service Division.
The Job Service Division provides employment and training opportunities to people looking for jobs, and assists employers looking for workers. In November 1984, the unemployment compensation function was separated from the Job Service Division with the recreation of the Unemployment Compensation Division (see WIHV85-A898). In late 1992 or early 1993, the Job Service Division and the Employment and Training Policy Division (see WIHV90-A1112) combined to become the Division of Jobs, Employment and Training Services (see WIHV94-A38). In the Wisconsin State Archives' database, this form of entry name is used for all records dated 1975-1992.
