Kane, John C., 1922-2005.
John C. Kane was born in 1922 in Ironwood, MI. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with the class of 1944. He was a blimp pilot in WWII. He earned a master's degree in aeronautical engineering from Cal Tech after the war. He qualified as a Navy pilot and worked as a staff officer in various posts. Kane retired from the Navy in 1968 and was an executive with McDonnell Douglas and General Dynamics. He passed away in St. Louis, MO in October 2005.
