Scott, George L., 1887-1975.
George L. Scott was born on July 21, 1887 in Fayette County and lived his entire life in that area. He was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in 1935 and was reelected five times. He was appointed to the Iowa Liquor Commission, but in 1953 he returned to the Iowa legislature, being elected to the Senate and serving three terms there. Mr. Scott died in 1975.
