Flett, John, 1815-1892
John Flett emigrated from the Selkirk settlement on the Red River in 1841 under the auspices of the Puget Sound Agricultural Company. Appointed in 1854 as Indian interpreter, and later subagent, under Gen. Joel Palmer, he attended all the Indian councils with Superintendent Palmer. He returned to farming in Washington Territory in 1859 and settled at Lakeview.
