Hill, Louis Hamilton, 1858-1932.
Cattleman, real estate developer, businessman. Born in 1858 in Maringo County, Alabama. Moved with family to Texas in 1870, and began working for George W. Littlefield as a trail driver in 1879. In 1883, he moved to Albany, Shackleford County, Texas, and began a business life, owning or sharing interests in the following firms: Watts, Campbell and Hill (1883); Campbell and Hill (1883); Webb, Campbell, and Hill (1886); Webb and Hill (1888); L.H. Hill Agency (1927); Hill, King, and Hill (1929); Hill and Hill (1931); and Hill and Matthews. His business interests included real estate, cattle, oil and banking. Died in 1932 in Albany, Texas.
