St. Cloud and Lake Traverse Railway Company.
Incorporated in 1880 under the laws of the state of Minnesota, the company purposed to construct and operate a rail line from the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba tracks between St. Cloud and Alexandria to the western boundary of the state between Lake Traverse and Big Stone Lake. Lines were built from Morris both to Browns Valley (and later conveyed to the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba Railway Company), and to rural Starbuck (and later sold to the Little Falls and Dakota Railroad). The charter was allowed to expire in 1930.
