Kempe, Alfred
Alfred Kempe was born in Kensington in July 1849. Educated at St Paul's School and Trinity College Cambridge he played a major part in the administration of the British National Antarctic Expedition, 1901-1904 (leader Robert Falcon Scott). He died in London in 1922
