Levine, Adeline

The Love Canal controversy involves a tract of land in Niagara Falls, N.Y., which was shown to contain high levels of toxic chemicals. In the late 1970s, concerns about the health of residents caused an outpouring of scientific studies and legal suits involving the residents, Hooker Chemical and Plastics Corporation, and state and federal governmental agencies. Dr. Adeline Levine, a professor of sociology at the State University of New York at Buffalo from 1968 to 1990, studied the sociological aspects of the Love Canal controversy.

From the description of Love Canal collection, 1893-1999 (bulk 1978-1995). (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 33115276
