Egan, Maurice Francis, 1852-1924
Maurice Francis Egan (1852-1924) was an American author and diplomat. He published novels and poetry and became a regular contributor to contemporary magazines. He taught English at Notre Dame University and later at Catholic University. President Theodore Roosevelt appointed Egan to the post of minister to Denmark in 1907.
