Kempe, John Tabor, d.1791.
Loyalist Attorney General for the province of colonial New York, 1759-1777; son of New York Attorney General William Kempe, who arrived in New York from England with his family to assume the post in 1752. As a Loyalist, John Tabor Kempe returned to England in 1778, where he remained until his death in 1791.
