Thomas, Joyce Carol
Joyce Carol Thomas is a celebrated author of young adult novels, poetry, and picture books, as well as fiction and poetry for adults. She was born in Ponca City, OK in 1938 and received her B.A. from San Jose State University and her M.A. from Stanford University. Her work presents both the joys and injustices faced by young people, issues that resonate across racial lines.
