Stetson, R. H. (Raymond Herbert), 1872-1950
Raymond Herbert Stetson was educated at Oberlin College and Harvard University. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on "Motor Theory of Rhythm and Discreet Succession" in 1901 under the influence of Hugo Munsterberg (1863-1916). In 1909, Stetson returned to Oberlin to accept the headship of the new department of Psychology. He continued his lifelong research in speech, motor and skill movements working up to his death in 1950.
