Sullivan, Catherine (Kay) Heerey, 1917-2006.

Born November 8, 1917, Chicago, IL; died April 13, 2006, Wilmette, IL. Sullivan was an alumna of Siena High School (1934) and Mundelein College (1938, Home Economics), and a member of the boards of Big Sisters and Mundelein College Alumnae. In 1977 she was the first female to be awarded the President's Medal by Loyola Academy for 25 years of service, and was honored by Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette for directing their alumnae affairs and editing the ALUMNAE NEWSLETTER for 17 years. In 1980, she founded Kay's Treasured Kookbooks, which helped people around the world locate, purchase, or sell out-of-print or vintage cookbooks.
