Judson family
William Judson (b. 1807), a merchant, and Clarissa King, his wife, lived in Waterford, Pennsylvania, in the mid-19th century. They had four children: Mary (1840-1905), Alice Francis (b. 1841), George Dewey (1843-1862), and Jessie King (b. 1852). Alice married Charles Himrod (b. 1841), the son of David and Abigail Himrod, on October 7, 1869. Charles, also a native of Waterford, Pennsylvania, served as sergeant major in Company E of the 83rd Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment during the Civil War, and worked in Missouri between 1867 and 1869. He later became an iron merchant. After their marriage, Charles and Alice Himrod lived in Youngstown, Ohio; Waterford, Pennsylvania; and Chicago, Illinois. They had two children, both of whom died in childhood.
