American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.
Organized nationally in 1928 in the District of Columbia, the group was composed of women who had lost a son or daughter in World War I. Later membership included mothers from World War II and the Korean Conflict. Denton chapter was chartered on November 11, 1948.
