North Carolina State University. Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The first electrical engineering class at the college that became North Carolina State University was taught in 1893. Electrical Engineering became in independent department when it split off from Physics in 1917. The origins of the computer science program date to 1957. The department became Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1981.
