Naturalist of Tennessee. Born in Namur, Belgium. Died in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Author of at least eight books, including Physical Education, Summerland Sketches, Household Remedies, The Secret of the East, Days and Nights in the Tropics, The Bible of Nature, and the Poison Problem.
