Carper, Leo.
Leo Carper of Burlington, Iowa served during the Civil War as an Assistant Adjutant General, probably with the Military Division of the Mississippi. The Division was organized on October 16, 1863 to consist of the Departments of the Ohio, the Tennessee, and the Cumberland. Carper appears to have been stationed in Tennessee.
