Klaupiks was born in 1900 in Novgorod, Russia. Graduate of Latvian Baptist Seminary at Riga and Andover Newton Seminary in the United States. Editor of the Kristiga Balss beginning in 1937 and general secretary of the Latvian Baptist Union, 1942-1946. Relief Coordinator and Refugee Resettlement Administrator for the Baptist World Alliance, 1947-1968.
