Frisbee, Lucy Post
Lucy Putnam Post Frisbee (1917-1997) was the author of several biographies for children, published by the Bobbs-Merrill Company in the "Childhood of Famous Americans" series. She married U.S. Air Force Colonel John Lee Frisbee and had four sons. After beginning her writing career with Brigham Young: Covered Wagon Boy, Frisbee joined the Society of American Pen Women, an organization with which she was actively involved for many years. Her biography of John F. Kennedy, John Fitzgerald Kennedy: Americas Youngest President (1982), originally titled, John F. Kennedy: Young Statesman (1964), was her best-known work.
