University of Florida. Women Students' Association.

The Women Students' Association was established at the University of Florida in the spring of 1948 soon after the University of Florida became coeducational. In December 1948, the Executive Council of Student Government ratified the constitution of the WSA. The three purposes of the WSA were: 1) to promote the welfare of women on campus, 2) to deepen the sense of individual and collective responsibility, and 3) to promote loyalty to all college activities and organizations and to uphold high social and academic standards among university women students. One of their activities was that of producing Coedikette, a handbook for incoming freshmen women. The handbook provided information on various aspects of campus life, organizations, and conduct rules.
