Russ, Joseph R. (Joseph Rieber)

Attended West Point and became 2nd Lieutenant (1935). As Lieutenant Colonel was an OPD Alaskan expert in World War II (1944). Was Colonel with 32nd Infantry Regiment in Korean War (1953), Was Deputy Chief of Staff (1955-56), Assistant Chief of Staff, G-3 (1956-57); on staff of U.S, Army Caribbean (1957-58). During 1965-66 was commanding General of 8th U.S. Infantry Division. In 1970 he was Deputy Commanding General of Reserve Forces.
