Thomas McKean (March 19, 1734-June 24, 1817) was a member of the Stamp Act Congress, served on the committee that drew up the Articles of Confederation, was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, was a representative in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, was Governor of Pennsylvania from 1799 to 1808, was served as Congressman from Delaware, served as President of the State of Delaware, and Chief Justice of Pennsylvania.

Thomas McKean Thompson (November 30, 1769-September 15, 1855) was a lawyer in Philadelphia, Secretary of state of Pennsylvania from December 2, 1801 to December 20, 1808.
