Webb, Eugene J., 1933-1995
Webb, a pioneer in the development of research and teaching of organizational behavior in business schools, joined the faculty of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business in 1968. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago in 1956 and taught at Northwestern University before joining the Stanford faculty. At Stanford he was the founding director of the Public Management Program and created and taught innovative courses such as crisis management and philanthrophy. In 1977 he was appointed the Lane professor of organizational behavior. He died in March of 1995.
